While physical healing and health is very important, having a client's psychosocial needs met is an integral piece to the overall well being of a person.
As a medical social worker, Hollie is an important member of our multidisciplinary care team. She assists our clients in overcoming barriers to recovery our client's may face. She provides individuals and families the psychosocial support needed to cope with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses. She can assist with patient education and making referrals for other services that would be beneficial to the client. She can also help clients with financial barriers, and to navigate confusing insurance paperwork they may receive.
Having a medical social worker on staff allows our clients to have a well rounded recovery process and ensures that more than just their physical needs are being met. This is just one more way that CANS is devoted to providing the best possible care for our clients.
If you had any better home care nurses, they would have to be angels from heaven, every last one of them.
